Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers on designing, ordering and printing with Image Merch Australia.
Getting Started
Jump into our Product Builder and create your own custom apparel, headwear or bar merch online. Pick your product, colours and layout, then send your design through to us.
Open Product Builder →No problem. Submit an Artwork Request and our team will create it with you, including figuring out the best way to print it.
Submit an Artwork Request →For an Artwork Request, reference photos can be any image file. For logos, we accept standard images as well as vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF), vector is preferred since it prints cleanly at any size. If you're uploading a design straight into the Product Builder, stick to PNG, JPG or SVG, up to 8MB.
Concepts usually come back within 1–7 days, and revisions take 7–14 days depending on how detailed the changes are.
Once we've got your design or artwork request, we review it and send back a quote. No payment upfront. Approve it and we get to work, then place your order through our Order Portal once it's confirmed and ready.
Go to Order Portal →If you're building your order yourself through the Product Builder or Order Portal, pricing updates live as you add quantities, sizes and print locations, based on our tiered per-unit pricing. If you're starting from an Artwork Request because you don't have finished artwork yet, we'll confirm pricing with you as part of that quote.
Submitting through the Order Portal sends us your order request, it isn't confirmed yet. Our team reviews it, and once everything checks out we confirm it and send your draft order and invoice to pay before production starts.
Ordering, Payment & Shipping
We don't take payment through the online store checkout. Every order is custom, so before anything's charged we check over your design, garment choices, sizes and quantities to make sure it all matches what you're expecting and the pricing is right. Once that's confirmed, we send a draft order and you pay directly against that invoice, so the amount you pay always lines up exactly with what goes into production.
Bank transfer is our usual payment method. We'll include our details with your invoice once your order's confirmed.
It depends on the product, print method and order size. We'll give you a clear timeframe as part of your quote.
Yes. Shipping timing will depend on your location and order size, confirmed with your quote.
Because everything is custom printed to order, we don't offer returns or refunds for change of mind. If something arrives faulty or isn't what you ordered, get in touch and we'll fix it. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
We update you directly as your order progresses, from confirmation through to production and shipping, rather than through an automated tracking page.
Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Shipping Policy cover the rest of the fine print.
Artwork, Printing & Wholesale
For digitally printed garments, orders start at a minimum of 25 units, with per-unit pricing improving in tiers as your quantity goes up. Other products may differ, so check with us if you're unsure.
Yes. As long as your order adds up to 25 garments or more in total, you're free to mix sizes, colours and designs across it. They don't all need to match. Just keep in mind not every colour is available in every size, the builder will only let you pick from what's actually in stock for that colour.
Yes. Extra print locations, like a sleeve or shoulder print, carry a per-unit surcharge on top of the base price. It's calculated automatically as you add locations in the builder, so you'll see the updated price before you submit.
A faster reorder login for returning and wholesale customers. Get in touch through our Contact page and we'll set you up.
Digital (sublimation) printing infuses full-colour artwork into the fabric itself, rather than sitting on top of it like screen printing or vinyl. There's no colour limit, so gradients and photo-quality designs print just as easily as simple logos, and because the ink becomes part of the fabric it won't crack, fade, peel or wash out over time the way a screen print or vinyl transfer can. It's why most of our range is printed this way.
Turn it inside out before washing, wash cold, and avoid ironing directly on the print. No Tumble drying on hot.
